OBJECTIVE: MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
The Master of Business Administration program is aimed at general competence in management. Often managers must change their roles as they reach higher positions of responsibility. The ability to reason and learn in new situations aids in the creation of general management capabilities. The professional manager's ability to contribute constructively to change in business and to make and successfully execute wise decisions is, to a great extent, derived from a sensitivity to immediate problems. Objectives
The module aims to introduce the methods used in epidemiology and preventive medicine. It also provides a foundation for further studies of these disciplines. Teaching takes place in the course of 3-4 gatherings, one at the start of the semester and one at the end (exam included). Teaching will be in the form of lectures, exercises and group work, and parts of the syllabus and tutoring will be given online.

Company law

Meaning of Corporate Personality and distinction between incorporated and unincorporated associations. The quasi-corporation.

The nature, types and functions of companies. Historical development of the modern business company. The consequences of incorporation and its practical advantages and disadvantages. The corporate entity principle and exceptions to it. The ultra vires doctrine and the concept of capital. The company's organs and agents and the liability of the company for their acts. Formation and flotation of companies.

The nature and classification of company securities. Shares and debentures. Publicity. Meetings and resolutions. Powers of the general meeting. Minority protection. The duties of directors and of the controlling majority and the enforcement of these duties. Reconstructions and amalgamations. Liquidation (in outline only).
